Madawaska Camps is located east of Bancroft, Ontario. Stretching out over 750 acres, Madawaska offers a postcard view of the beauty of Canadian summers. We have two private lakes for swimming, sailing and canoeing surrounded by woodlands..

The Den is the gathering space where the camp gathers on the first and last night.

Far away from the sounds of the city, 750 acres of woodlands and hiking trails surround main camp.

Located in Southern Ontario’s Haliburton Highlands, Madawaska nights have skies filled with stars.

MADAWASKA

For over 44 years, Madawaska Volleyball Camp has an impact on Ontario volleyball with provincial, national and international players honing their skills on our site and under the tutelage of our skilled coaching staff. Our ratio of campers to coaches is 6:1!
We provide a unique setting where the athletes (12-18 yrs) are placed in homogeneous groups based on gender, age, grade and skill.
Madawaska accepts a maximum of 530 athletes – a combination of up to 400 in the court program and 200 in the beach section.
Your stay at Madawaska will be a learning experience. We provide maximum contacts and valuable feedback all from a most knowledgeable coaching staff. You will leave Madawaska as a better player and hopefully with a growing “passion” for the sport of Volleyball!

As Canada’s number one residential volleyball camp we developed an amazing All-Sport camp which encompasses many of the elements that has made Madawaska so popular – spirit, skill development and friendships. This week of programming is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 9-17. All athletes will receive instruction in a variety of land and water based sports activities which can be found under activities on this page.
Athletes are grouped by gender and age. Individual attention is offered to all athletes with ample time devoted to competitive play. A recreational swim will be offered daily. The All-Sport program is supplemented by a well-planned social and evening program providing all participants with an enriched camping experience.

MEET THE DIRECTORS

Running the administration of camp from their home office, Ian and Carrie believe a personalised service is important from the initial camp inquiry until the camper returns home from a week or two at Madawaska.During the off season, as the Administrative Director, Carrie is available to chat about any and all camper related questions. Once your camper is registered, she will send you information packages as required. After the initial email of confirmation of registration, you will receive an email in the Spring with detailed information about your camper’s program including and not limited to; health form, family and camper contract and transportation information.

Fully certified NCCP level 3, Ian believes work ethic and the fundamentals required for volleyball success are parallel to those needed in life. Ian brings a unique perspective to coaching through the many different hats he’s worn within the volleyball community and beyond. His playing experiences are vast, including playing on the Provincial Team which competed in the Canada Games and for many years outdoor on the Pro Beach Tour.

Ian and Carrie have tremendous experience with the administration and overall operations of Madawaska Camps. Ian as Camp Director and Carrie, Administrative Director, handle all camp related functions. These roles continue during the two weeks of camp when their Cobourg office moves up to our beautiful property in Palmer Rapids, Ontario.
